Counseling service 5K run/walk set in October

Union County Counseling Service, UCCS, plans to host an Inside Out 5K run/walk Saturday, Oct. 22, at 9 a.m. at the Anna City Park in Anna.

Funds raised at the event will be used to support activities for UCCS clients of all ages in activities which include school athletics, homecomings, summer outings, local plays and cultural programs and more. Funds also may be used to cover unfunded medications.

The event will feature six divisions that are each separated by gender. They are ages 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and older. 

Awards will given for the overall male and female runners, and the top three runners in each division. Walkers are non-competitive. Long-sleeve t-shirts are available to participants.

Registration forms are available online at the Union County Counseling Service Facebook page. 

Entries that are received by Oct. 2 are $25. Entries that are received after Oct. 3 are $30. Participants can register for $20 if they do not want a t-shirt. 

Checks should be made payable to UCCS and mailed with the registration form to UCCS, Susie Adams, PO Box 548, Anna, Ill. 62906.
