A-J girls 5-1 after wins over Marion, Nashville
The Anna-Jonesboro Community High School girls’ basketball team won a pair of games in recent action.
A-J 38, Marion 27: The visiting Lady Wildcats came on in the second quarter on their way to the win Thursday, Nov. 29.
Mikayla Bundren had 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals to lead A-J.
Kristin Edmonds had 8 points, 9 rebounds and an assist. Angel Helm had 7 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and an assist.
Jacee Woodward had 6 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Jaley Watkins had 3 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Morgan Wendling had 2 points and 3 rebounds. Julia Ellis had 3 rebounds and 3 steals.
A-J 34, Nashville 31: Bundren had 12 points, a rebound and 2 steals to lead the host Lady Wildcats to the Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference Mississippi Division win Tuesday, Nov. 27.
Helm had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Edmonds had 6 points and 2 rebounds. Sydney Heath had 3 points and 2 rebounds. Watkins had 2 points, 2 steals and 2 assists.
A-J, 5-1, is scheduled to play Thursday, today, at West Frankfort.
