The visiting Anna-Jonesboro Community High School girls’ basketball team built an early lead on its way to a 55-45 win over West Frankfort Thursday, Dec. 6.
Angel Helm had 13 points, 5 steals, 4 rebounds and an assist to lead A-J.
Sydney Heath had 10 points, a rebound and 2 assists. Mikayla Bundren had 10 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds.
Kristin Edmonds had 7 points, 4 rebounds and an assist. Jacee Woodward had 6 points and 6 rebounds.
Julia Ellis had 5 points and a rebound. Jaley Watkins had 4 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and an assist.
Anna Hess had a rebound and a steal. Morgan Wendling had a steal.
A-J, 6-2, is scheduled to play Thursday, today, at Du Quoin and Saturday at home against Massac County.
