Blake Klett was 1-for- 5 at the plate in Orient Express’s 10-8 win over Sparta at the American Legion 25th District baseball tournament at West Frankfort Saturday, July 9.
Klett, who caught in the game, also pitches and plays 1st base for Orient Express.
Klett was 3-for-4 at the plate in Orient Express’s 15-5 loss to Herrin in the 25th District American Legion baseball tournament at Pinckneyville Monday, July 11.
Orient Express was to have played the Carterville-Sparta winner Tuesday for second place.
Klett has a 4-1 pitching record with a 1.88 ERA. He has a .310 batting average.
Klett is a former Anna-Jonesboro Community High School baseball player.
