Practice begins for 2017 high school football season

Anna-Jonesboro Community High School opened practice for the 2017 football season on Monday.

The A-J varsity football team is scheduled to open the season Friday night, Aug. 25, at Frankfort Community High School in West Frankfort.

A-J opens its 2017 home season Friday night, Sept. 1, against Murphysboro.

A-J’s White Out for MDA game is set for Friday night, Sept. 8, against visiting Massac County.

The 2017 A-J homecoming game is set for Sept. 22 against visiting Carterville.

The A-J freshman football team is scheduled to open its season Aug. 26 at home against Frankfort Community High School.

The sophomore team is slated to kick off its season Aug. 28 at home, also against Frankfort.
