Saints golf tournament slated

Shawnee Community College plans to host the annual Saints Challenge golf tournament Friday, Sept. 8, at the Union County Country Club course in Anna.

Proceeds will benefit the college’s athletic department.

The four-person, 18-hole scramble is scheduled to have a 1 p.m. shotgun start. 

Lunch will be provided from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin (for both men and women), for the longest drive (men and women) and the longest putt (overall).

Teams will consist of four individuals for a total cost of $400. Individual players will pay $100.

Hole sponsorships are available for $100.
