'State of Village'event set in Cobden

A "state of the village" town hall meeting is planned Monday, Jan. 11, in Cobden.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at the C-Infinity Event Center at 220 S. Front St. in Cobden.

Cobden area residents and business owners are invited to attend the event.

The meeting will be hosted by the Cobden Community & Business Association.

Between 6:30 and 7 p.m., various informational and picture posters will be displayed highlighting both recent events in the village and plans for 2010.

Representatives are scheduled to be on hand to talk individually and answer questions about each display.

At 7 p.m., presentations will be given by various individuals from the community, including a keynote address by Cobden Mayor Molly Beckley on the "state of the village."

Following the presentations, the floor will be open for a town hall-style discussion.

Organizers have set an 8 p.m. "target time for adjournment."
