Subscription promotion successful

The Gazette-Democrat recently completed one of the newspaper's most successful subscription promotions.

Circulation manager Dianne Reppert reported that a total of 121 new subscriptions were registered by the May 31 deadline for the promotion.

Two-hundred-fifty-seven subscription renewals also were reported.

A highlight of the promotion was the offer by the newspaper to share the revenue with the Friends of the Cross organization.

The organization is working to raise funds for restoration of the landmark Cross of Peace atop Bald Knob Mountain near Alto Pass.

A check will be presented by the newspaper to the Friends of the Cross.
