Support voiced for candidate

To the editor,

This is to endorse the candidacy of Darren Bailey for Union County treasurer.

During the many years I owned and operated WRAJ I had opportunity to see and learn about many political candidates of all parties and levels of service.

I rarely took a position on any particular candidate, consistent with my goal of providing a news service that could be regarded as non-political.

I think most of us have become rather disappointed with the level of political happenings in recent years, in both major parties.

It is, in my opinion, a real breath of fresh air to see an outstanding young man like Darren Bailey declaring for office.

Darren has had excellent training in the skills necessary for the office and is in a position to take advantage of the most modern methods, computerizing the operation to the maximum extent desirable.

Above all, tho, he is an intelligent, honest and industrious person who has proven himself in internships at the Capitol to prepare himself for the complexities of the office.

In addition, he has a wining personality, which will go a long way toward making the office run smoothly.

I will be supporting Darren Bailey for treasurer and I hope you will also.
