Wanda Van Pickerill

Wanda Van Pickerill, 85, of Anna, died at 2:05 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2015 in the Union County Long Term Care Center in Anna. She was born Aug. 6, 1923 in West Frankfort, the daughter of Walter and Laura B. Stokes Pearce. She married John Wilson and later married Jay Van Pickerill.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Sue Wilson of Jonesboro; niece, Tanya (Richard) Pengress of Anna; cousin, Sylvia Sue Bollig of Denver, Colorado; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Jay Van Pickerill.

She grew up in the Dongola area, she later moved to Springfield. She was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church in Springfield.

Funeral services, were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Pastor Kathy Montira officiating. Interment was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
