Youth faces charges

A Union County youth faces multiple charges in connection with two alleged stabbing incidents which happened Monday night, Feb. 20, in Dongola.
The youth, a 16-year-old Dongola boy, allegedly stabbed his mother and his ex-girlfriend's sister.
The name of the boy is not being released because he is a juvenile.
Union County State's Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds said the youth faces charges of home invasion, aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery. All of the charges are felonies.
The boy was being held at a juvenile detention center in Franklin County.
