Be warmed by memories

To the editor,

It saddened me to hear about the passing of Wes Boie.

When I moved to Anna in 1981, I was having difficulty securing finances for a piece of property.

Thanks to Wes and his affiliation with the First National Bank of Jonesboro, I purchased the property and became a resident of Anna, Illinois.

Over the years, I would greet Wes or would stop by his office for a friendly chat.

He was always soft spoken, very intelligent and very observant. He had a sense of humor as well.
